Motorola Satellite Series 9520 Mobile Phone is full-featured, permanently installed mobile telephone, designed for in-vehicle operation with the Iridium® system. Hands-free functionality and external antenna options complete the package.
The Motorola 9520 Mobile Phone is a full-featured, permanently installed Iridium satellite phone, powered by your vehicle’s battery. Iridium 9520 supports hands-free speakerphone operation and vehicle-integrated mute control of the entertainment system (if audio supported). Privacy handset and virtually unlimited talk time make this satellite phone an invaluable product for those who spend extended periods of time in a vehicle. Can also be used in boating, railroad and other applications where 12 DC power is available.
Requires and externally mounted antenna. The 9520 can be used in conjunction with any external Iridium antenna including: permanent-mount type (with 5-meter antenna cable), pole-mount mast-type (with up to 20-meter antenna cable), and magnetic-mount type (with 5-meter antenna cable).
The Motorola 9520 is very popular among mega-yacht owners because of its sleek appearance. The handset and transceiver (shown right) must be operated from protected below decks or inside locations.
If you need to give an existing phone system or PBX access to Iridium voice or data service, choose the Eurocom Marine Phone System which provides a two-wire interface compatible with standard telephone equipment and PBX systems and a 9-pin serial port for data access.
If you want the freedom of undocking your handheld Iridium while away from your vehicle or yaucht, try the Motorola 9570 Portable Dock. The Portable Dock is a full featured desktop or wall-mountable speaker phone which can recharge up to two batteries and the handheld phone simultaneously. In the event of power failure, the Portable Dock uses its internal batteries to provide up to 2 days of emergency backup power (requires two high-capacity Li-Ion batteries and phone in standby mode).
Iridium is easy to use and provides safety and security if you are travelling independently or when shared amongst a group of friends wanting to keep in touch with home. We have access to numerous handsets to cater for government, industry and commercial needs in addition to individual recreational users.
