Bell-expressvu TV Controller

The remote control gives you easy access to all the features of a eXpressVu satellite TV system. You can set up the remote to control up to three devices other than the satellite TV receiver. The three devices may include a TV, a VCR, a DVD player, a cable TV box, a tuner, or an audio amplifier.

There are many different ExpressVu™ receivers. The IR/UHF Pro, version 6.3 remote is compatible with all models of ExpressVu receivers, including the very latest 6141 and 9242 models. Some functions on the remote may not be available depending on your receiver model, but all of your receiver's functions will be covered by this Infra Red and UHF remote control!

How to Program ExpressVu Remote Control

Programming an Expressvu remote control can be frustrating. There are two basic ways of doing in it. The first one involves knowing both your TV brand name and also knowing the proper code to input in your remote. The second method is doing an automatic search. The following is a step by step procedure in how to program your dishnetwork or Expressvu remote.

1. Make sure your TV and Satellite Receiver is ON.

2. Press and hold TV button until all lights on the side of it flashes. The TV button is the second button on the Top left hand side corner of the remote control.

3. Release that button, then press & release RED Button. You will notice TV button is stays on. If, it doesn't stay ON, you must repeat step 2 & 3. Otherwise, your batteries are low, you MUST change then.

4. Press and release the UP Arrow Key on the remote until TV turns off. Notice the UP arrow key button is the button below the volume keys (Stop button for VCR.)

5. Make sure you are aiming remote control to TV while pressing and releasing UP arrow key button. When you find the right code, the TV will turn OFF.

6. Inmediately after, TV turns off, press # key.

VCR Setup

1. Turn your VCR on.

2. Press and hold the VCR mode button until all the other mode buttons light up.

3. Press the blank POWER button. (If your remote only has one POWER button, press that one)

4. Press the UP ARROW button repeatedly until your VCR turns off.

5. Press the POUND (#) button to confirm.

Other Devices

To set up a third device:

1. Turn the device on.

2. Press and hold the AUX mode button until all the other mode buttons light up.

3. Press 0 to add a second TV. Press 1 to add a DVD player or a second VCR. Press 2 to add a tuner or amplifier.

4. Press the STAR (*) key.

5. Press the blank POWER button. (If your remote only has one POWER button, press that one)

6. Press the UP ARROW button repeatedly until your device turns off.

7. Press the POUND (#) button to confirm.

Controlling your system

Using the remote to control your system To control your system, first press the desired mode button (eg: TV), then press the appropriate buttons for that device (eg: POWER, VOLUME, etc.). For your convenience, your remote may have a dedicated TV POWER button. This button can always be used to turn your TV on or off without having to press the TV mode button. Press the SAT button to resume controlling your ExpressVu satellite receiver.

Program Remote Using Device Codes

Alternatively, you can program your remote using device codes. Here's how:

1. Press and hold the desired mode button until all the other mode buttons light up.

2. If you pressed the AUX mode button in step 1: * Press 0 to add a second TV. * Press 1to add a second VCR or a DVD player. * Press 2 to add a tuner or amplifier.

3. Enter the 3-digit code from the remote code list.

4. Press POUND (#) to confirm.
